Observations: Wildcats & The Ryder Cup??

Davidson has beaten the daylights out of the better teams in the league: Elon, Ga Southern, Charleston.

Davidson has lost to each of the next lower tier of teams in the league: Furman, Chattanooga, Western Carolina & Wofford. The team almost gave one away at The Citadel tonight.

Obviously, the inconsistent play has got to get sorted out by tournament time if the team wants to move on to the NCAA tournament.

One good thing: While we haven't played well on the road this year, we have won both games played in Charleston. Where is the SoCon tournament going to be played? CHARLESTON. That seems like a good sign to me. Could it be fate?

As Ben Crenshaw said before the final day of the 1999 Ryder Cup golf matches: "I have a good feeling about (this)".

For those of you not familiar with this story: Despite the US Ryder Cup team (captained by Crenshaw) trailing Europe's massive 10-6 lead going into the final day of competition, Crenshaw closed his Saturday evening press conference with a statement that stunned the media. "I'm a big believer in fate. I have a good feeling about tomorrow. That's all I'm gonna say." He then stood up and walked out of the press room.
......Against all odds, the US mounted a monumental comeback and won The Ryder Cup the next day.
