SoCon gets props in Sports Illustrated
"Finally, the unsung Southern Conference -- 19th in conference RPI -- may actually have an argument for two bids depending on what happens in its league tournament. Davidson, 11-1 in the league and No. 64 in the RPI, currently fills the league's automatic spot on my bracket, but Appalachian State (9-3, No. 53) actually holds the more impressive resume with neutral court or road wins over not only Davidson, but also Virginia, Vanderbilt and Colonial leader Virginia Commonwealth. The 17-6 Mountaineers' problem is they've also lost to No. 187 UNC-Greensboro, No. 188 Furman and No. 280 Elon."
