Davidson star shakes off rocky first half
BY ANDREW MILLER

It's a good thing for Davidson that Stephen Curry has such a short memory.

After making just one basket in the first half Monday night against the College of Charleston, the talented freshman guard poured in 21 points after intermission to lead the Wildcats past the Cougars, 73-63, Monday night before a raucous standing-room-only crowd of 3,784 at John Kresse Arena.

The Cougars, who lost to Davidson for the seventh straight time since 2003, dropped to 17-9 overall and 10-4 in the Southern Conference. The Wildcats, winners of 18 of their last 19 games, improved to 22-4 overall and 13-1 and all but assured themselves of a first-round bye in the SoCon Tournament. (Photo credit: WADE SPEES/STAFF)
