Davidson College defeated College of Charleston 72-65 to win its ninth Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament title and the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.Tournament MVP Stephen Curry led Davidson to its second-consecutive SoCon crown with a game-high 29 points. Boris Meno added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds including a game-sealing dunk in the final 30 seconds of play. Jermaine Johnson and David Lawrence each had 13 points for the Cougars who fell before a North Charleston Coliseum record crowd of 8,009.
