Wildcats Improve to 10-0 in SoCon with 87-70 Win

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Sophomore Stephen Curry led three scorers in double figures with 28 points as Davidson improved to 10-0 in the Southern Conference with an 87-70 men’s basketball victory over The Citadel at McAlister Field House Thursday night.

Curry scored 15 of the Wildcats’ first 22 points and finished the first half with 18. Junior Andrew Lovedale tallied 13 points and seven rebounds for Davidson (13-6, 10-0 SoCon), and senior Thomas Sander scored 12. Senior Jason Richards posted nine points and eight assists, while classmate Boris Meno collected nine points and nine rebounds off the bench.

Austin Dahn led The Citadel (5-13, 0-9 SoCon) with 19 points.

The ‘Cats finish their three-game conference road swing at the College of Charleston Saturday. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m., and the game will be televised live on SportsSouth.
