Elon was a surprise contender last year, and caught a bunch of teams off guard. Davidson beat Elon handily last year, 79-61, in the only meeting between the two teams.Elon started off this year poorly, with a 1-4 record. However, they have lost to schools from much bigger conferences. They lost to Georgia Tech (83-49), Vanderbilt (81-70), Virginia Commonwealth (91-49) and Wake Forest (73-48). Basically, they were destroyed by all of these teams, except for maybe Vanderbilt.....but Vaderbilt lost to Furman, so Vandy is down right now.
Tomorrow night at Belk Arena, we'll see what Elon looks like this year for SoCon play.
