Charleston begins construction on new arena

The season after next, the Cougars can get out of that small gym where they currently play games (John Kresse Arena), which I believe holds about 3,500. From what I am told, they can't get everybody in that place to watch the games anymore. They new arena is supposed to have a little over 5,000 seats, or so...sounds similar in size to Belk Arena. That should probably be a good fit for the Cougs.

I'd love for them to have 5,000+ present to see Davidson put a beat-down on them in Charleston every year. That would be wonderful!
